This guide shows how to connect Funnelfeedr to HubSpot under Settings → CRM Integrations, choose which companies are synced, and decide how Funnelfeedr creates records in HubSpot. You need permission to manage CRM integrations, which admins have.
An account runs one CRM at a time. If you already have Pipedrive active, activating HubSpot switches Pipedrive off.
1. Open CRM Integrations
- Click Settings at the bottom of the left sidebar.
- Under Data & integrations, select CRM Integrations.
- If the account has no CRM integration yet, the Add CRM Integration dialog opens by itself. Otherwise click Add Connection.
2. Select HubSpot
- In the dialog, select HubSpot in the CRM field.
- Click Connect.
- A notice explains how the integration works under HubSpot Marketplace rules:
- Email addresses are not written to HubSpot contacts. Contacts are still created with name, phone, job title and LinkedIn URL.
- Contacts captured from LinkedIn with Sidekick are not synced to HubSpot.
- Everything stays available inside Funnelfeedr.
- Click Connect to HubSpot to continue.
3. Log In and Approve the Connection
- You are redirected to HubSpot. Log in if you are not already.
- Choose the HubSpot account (portal) to connect, if you have more than one.
- Approve the access Funnelfeedr asks for.
- You land back in Funnelfeedr on the HubSpot Integration page, where you configure the connection.
The connection is created inactive. Nothing is synced until you activate it in step 5.
4. Configure the Connection
A. Company Lists
Companies to Sync controls which HubSpot companies Funnelfeedr brings in:
- All companies: the usual choice.
- By list/segment: only the companies in one HubSpot list (segment). Pick it under HubSpot List/Segment. If a list you just created is missing, click Refresh lists/segments.
The synced companies are how Funnelfeedr knows what is already in your CRM: which organizations exist there, which are customers (lifecycle stage Customer or Evangelist), and their deals and activities. That is what lets you leave existing CRM organizations or customers out of a search. If you need help building a list, see Creating Organization Lists.
B. Business Identification Field
Select the HubSpot company property that holds the organization (registration) number. It is optional but recommended, because it makes matching HubSpot companies to Funnelfeedr organizations far more reliable than name and domain alone.
- Funnelfeedr suggests likely properties. Click one to select it, or search for the property yourself.
- If you have no such property, click Create Business Identification Field and Funnelfeedr creates one in HubSpot.
C. Push Configuration
Push leads as decides what Funnelfeedr creates when you push an organization to HubSpot:
| Option | What happens in HubSpot |
|---|---|
| Contacts Only | Companies and contacts are created, without a follow-up task |
| Contacts with Task | Companies and contacts are created, plus a follow-up task linking all the contacts (the default) |
D. Contact Sync
Turn on Enable contact sync to bring the contacts in HubSpot into Funnelfeedr when the CRM syncs.
E. Shared CRM: Your People
Only relevant if you share the HubSpot portal with other companies. Enter Your email domains, and Funnelfeedr only brings in the users, deals, activities and tasks owned by people on those domains. Leave it empty to bring in everyone. Nothing is ever deleted in HubSpot.
5. Save and Activate
- Click Save.
- Click Activate.
Activating starts the first sync: Funnelfeedr reads your HubSpot users and then your companies, deals and activities. A large portal can take a while the first time.
Keeping the Connection Healthy
The Health column on the CRM Integrations page shows how the connection is doing:
| Health | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Working | Syncing normally |
| Retrying | A recent call to HubSpot failed and Funnelfeedr is trying again |
| Reconnect needed | HubSpot no longer accepts the authorization. Open the connection and click Reconnect |
| Unavailable | HubSpot could not be reached |
From the connection page you can also Deactivate the integration, which pauses syncing and pushing, or delete it.
