Starting a Call Session

Learn how to create a call session from a search or a list and start making calls with the power dialer

This guide explains how to start a call session in Funnelfeedr. A call session is a block of calling through a set of organizations with the power dialer: Funnelfeedr picks the best contact at each organization, you call, save the outcome, and move on to the next. Call sessions need a seat that includes the dialer (Prospect).

Want to call without building a session? Dialer → Queue holds every contact waiting for a call, such as callbacks and retries after a no-answer. Click Start calling there and the queue serves the next best contact.

1. Select Organizations

  1. Go to Search or open a List from the left sidebar.
  2. Select the organizations you want to call by checking the boxes next to them, or use the checkbox in the header to select all.

You can also select contacts in a list's Contacts view. A session calls one company at a time, so several contacts at the same company become one stop.

2. Open the Add to Call Session Dialog

  1. Open the Actions menu above the results.
  2. Select Add to Call Session.

Actions you have used recently also get their own button next to the Actions menu.

3. Add to an Existing Session

Under Existing sessions, the dialog lists the account's sessions with status Draft or Active, including colleagues' sessions, with the number of organizations each already holds.

  1. Select the session you want to add to.
  2. Click Add to add the organizations and stay where you are, or Add & Start to add them and open the session.

4. Create a New Session

  1. Select Create new session.
  2. Enter a Session name (e.g. "Outreach May 2026" or "Follow-up calls"). If you came from a saved search, its name is filled in for you.
  3. Click Create & Add to create the session and add the organizations, or Create & Start to create it and open it straight away.

5. Start the Session

When you open a draft session, Call Session Settings appears before the first call:

  • Phone number: the number you call from.
  • Enable call recording: record the calls so they can be transcribed and analyzed afterwards.
  • Enable realtime transcription: transcribe live during the call. This powers live coaching and script tracking.
  • Automatically set call disposition: shown when realtime transcription is on. The AI picks an outcome during the call and saves it when the call ends; you can change it.
  • Call Script: attach a call script for live coaching; see Building Call Scripts.
  • Callbacks: Include my callbacks slots your due callbacks from outside the session in ahead of the next stop. Include team callbacks does the same for callbacks assigned to your teams.

Click Start Session. If you have no phone number, the dialog says so; ask an admin to assign one.

If a colleague is already calling in an active session, you see Join instead. Several reps can work the same session; each gets their own organizations.

6. The Call Session View

The session view has a header and three columns. You can drag the column edges to resize them.

  • Header: back to the session list, the session name with progress, My session settings (the gear), Back to the previous organization, Next, and End Session.
  • Left column: two tabs. Contacts shows the current contact, picked as the best fit at the organization, and the Other Contacts there. Search by name or title if the prospect asks you to call someone else. Coaching shows your call script; you can pick or change the script here between calls. While a script is active, the column switches to Coaching when a call connects.
  • Center column: the current organization and its details.
  • Right column: the call itself: Call, Mute, Hold, Dialpad and Hang up, the number to call, the outcome buttons, notes, and Next.

Saving the outcome

Click an outcome, such as Meeting Booked, Callback Requested or Not Interested. It is saved as soon as you click. An unanswered call, or one that lasted 6 seconds or less, is saved as No Answer automatically.

Under What happens next you choose what happens to the contact in your queue: Retry in 30 min, 2 h, 4 h or tomorrow, Schedule a callback at a set time, Park it, or Remove it.

Two switches help you keep pace:

  • Auto-advance: after the outcome is saved, move on and dial the next contact automatically.
  • Try next contact at org: try the other matching contacts at the same organization before moving on.

Tips

  • You can add more organizations to a draft or active session at any time by repeating the steps above.
  • Next moves on without finishing the organization; it comes back at the end of the session.
  • End Session takes you out of the session. If you were the last rep in it and organizations are still waiting, it becomes Abandoned, and you can Resume it later from Dialer → Sessions. See Managing Call Sessions.
