Building Call Scripts

A script is the structure you want a conversation to follow — the sections a rep should get through and the points, questions and checkpoints inside each one. Once a script is attached to a call session, Funnelfeedr shows it live in the Coaching panel and ticks items off as they are covered.

Scripts live under Settings → Playbooks → Scripts.

1. Create a script

You have two ways to start:

  • From template — pick Cold Call, Discovery Call, Demo or Follow-up. Funnelfeedr creates a ready-made script with sections and items you can edit.
  • New script — start from an empty script.

2. Fill in the script details

At the top of the editor you set:

  • Script name — what reps will see when they pick a script for a session.
  • Interaction typeCall, Email, Meeting, LinkedIn or General. Only scripts of type Call can be attached to a call session.
  • Description — a short note on when this script should be used.
  • Active — turn this off to keep a script without offering it to reps.

3. Add sections

A script is a list of sections — the phases of the conversation, such as Opening, Discovery, Value and Next step.

  1. Click Add section.
  2. Give the section a name.
  3. Drag the handle on the left of the section to reorder it.

4. Add items to a section

Inside each section you add items. Every item has a type:

TypeUse it for
Talking pointSomething the rep should say or land
QuestionSomething the rep should ask
CheckpointSomething that must be confirmed before moving on

Each item has two fields:

  • Content — the full wording. This is what is sent to the AI, so write it so the intent is clear even out of context. Example: Propose a next step (demo, meeting, follow-up).
  • Display label — an optional short label shown to the rep in the coaching panel. Example: Next step. Leave it empty and the content is shown instead.

Items can be dragged to reorder them inside a section.

Click Save when you are done. The list view then shows the number of sections and items in each script.

5. Duplicate or delete a script

From an existing script you can:

  • Duplicate — copies the whole script, sections and items included. Useful when you want a variant for a different segment.
  • Delete — removes the script.

6. Use a script in a call session

  1. Start a call session as described in Starting a Call Session.
  2. Open the session settings and pick a script under Call script.

Only scripts that are Active and have interaction type Call appear in that list.

When a call connects, the contact panel switches to the Coaching tab and shows the script:

  • Items are ticked off as they are covered — either by the rep clicking them, or automatically by the AI when it hears the point being made in the transcript.
  • A section collapses on its own once every item in it is done.
  • An adherence score shows how much of the script was covered.

Tips

  • Keep sections short. Five to eight items per section is usually enough for a rep to follow live.
  • Write items as outcomes, not word-for-word lines. The AI matches on meaning, not phrasing.
  • Use Checkpoint sparingly — reserve it for the things a call genuinely should not move past, such as confirming budget ownership.
  • Set a script to Inactive instead of deleting it while you are testing a new version.
