Connect AI Assistants to Funnelfeedr with MCP
The Funnelfeedr MCP server lets AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT work directly with your Funnelfeedr data. Once connected, you can ask your assistant to build a prospect segment, look up companies you already know by name, read your lists and saved searches, and search your company knowledge base, all without leaving the chat.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to external tools. Funnelfeedr exposes a remote MCP server that any compatible client can connect to over HTTPS.
The quickest way to set it up is in Funnelfeedr itself: Settings → MCP Connections has a Connect an AI assistant (MCP) card with the server address and step-by-step instructions per client. The same card is in the user menu as Connect AI assistant (MCP).
Server address
Use this URL when adding Funnelfeedr to an MCP client:
https://mcp.funnelfeedr.com/mcp
Enter it exactly as written. The server checks that the address the client connected to matches, so a trailing slash or a different path will be rejected.
Supported clients
Any MCP client that supports remote servers with OAuth can connect. We have verified:
- Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Claude mobile and Claude Code)
- ChatGPT (connectors and Deep Research)
Other clients that follow the current MCP specification should also work. See Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client for step-by-step instructions.
How authorization works
Funnelfeedr never hands out API keys for MCP. Instead, every connection goes through OAuth: when you add the server to your client, your browser opens Funnelfeedr, you sign in, and you approve exactly what the assistant may do. The assistant then acts as you, in your account, with the permissions your Funnelfeedr role already gives you.
Read Authorizing an MCP client with OAuth for a full walkthrough of the approval screen and what each choice means.
What a connected assistant can do
| Area | Read | Write |
|---|---|---|
| Organizations | Search the Nordic company registry, look up companies by name, domain or organization number, read full company profiles | — |
| Contacts | Search contacts, list the people at a company (masked details) | — |
| Lists | Browse your organization lists and their contents | Create lists, add and remove organizations |
| Saved searches | Read and run your saved prospecting searches | Save a new search |
| Ideal customer profiles | See the profiles that can rank a search | Create a profile from a description |
| Knowledge base | Search your company's knowledge base | — |
| Account | See which account the connection uses, and the target roles and profiles it is configured with | Point the connection at another of your accounts |
A search is more than a filter list: you can describe what you are looking for in plain language, rank against an ideal customer profile, a scoring profile or a company you already like, exclude anything a filter can select, and narrow to companies nobody has touched yet or that are already in your CRM.
Writing is limited to lists, saved searches and ideal customer profiles. The assistant cannot push to your CRM, spend credits, reveal contact details, send email or delete anything. Contact emails and phone numbers are masked unless your account has already revealed that contact in Funnelfeedr.
See MCP tools reference for all 21 tools, and which seats and permissions each one needs.
Requirements
- An active Funnelfeedr subscription.
- A Funnelfeedr user account. The assistant works with the same organizations, lists and permissions as your user.
- For knowledge base search: a Conversational Intelligence add-on seat assigned to your user.
If you belong to several accounts
A connection works in one Funnelfeedr account at a time. You choose which one on the approval screen, you can change it later under Settings → MCP Connections, and you can ask the assistant itself to switch. For a multi-account user every reply starts with the name of the account it came from.
Managing connections
Every connection you approve is listed under Settings → MCP Connections in Funnelfeedr, where you can revoke it at any time. Access ends within about two minutes of revoking. See Managing MCP connections.
