MCP Tools Reference

Every tool the Funnelfeedr MCP server offers, what it does, and which scope, seat and permission it requires

An MCP client sees Funnelfeedr as a set of tools. Your assistant chooses which tool to call based on what you ask. This page lists all 25 of them, so you know what a connected assistant can and cannot do.

Every call runs as the user who approved the connection, inside the account that connection is pointed at. A tool only works if the connection was granted the right scope, the user holds the right seat (see Seats), and the user's Funnelfeedr role grants the matching permission. Tools missing a scope or seat are hidden from the assistant entirely; a tool your role does not allow is still listed, but refuses when it is called.

Read tools

All read tools require the Read scope (mcp:read).

ToolWhat it doesRole permission
get_contextThe orientation call your assistant makes first: which account the connection is pointed at, that account's own company profile, the contact roles it targets, its ideal customer profiles and scoring profiles, the other accounts the connection can be moved to, and whether the account is on a free trial, when the trial ends and how many credits are left.Any user
search_organizationsBuilds a segment of companies from the Nordic registry. See the filter and ranking summary below. Returns a page with id, organization number, Funnelfeedr URL and, when the search is ranked, a score.View leads
find_organizationLooks up companies you can already name, by name, website domain or organization number, up to 25 at a time. Each hit says what your account already has on it: customer, in CRM, exported and to whom, and which lists it is on.Any user
get_organizationFull profile of one company: registry, financial and CRM-relationship details. Accepts a Funnelfeedr id, an organization number (SE, NO, DK, FI), a website domain or a Funnelfeedr URL.Any user
get_organizationsThe same detail for up to 50 companies in one call, and a list of the identifiers that matched nothing.Any user
search_contactsSearches people across companies by role (job title, area and seniority, and the contact details they must have, such as a direct phone line) and by the profile of the company they work at. Can be narrowed to a shortlist of organizations or to one organization list. Email and phone are masked unless your account has already revealed the contact; to unmask them the assistant uses the two reveal tools below.View leads
get_organization_contactsEveryone Funnelfeedr knows at one company, ranked as in the web app, with the same masking.Any user
list_listsYour account's lists, organization and contact lists alike, with id, name, kind and size.View leads
get_listThe organizations or contacts on one list, a page at a time.View leads
get_saved_searchesYour saved prospecting searches, optionally with a plain-English summary of what each one filters on.View leads
run_saved_searchRuns one saved search by id, with its own filters, market and ranking, including filters search_organizations cannot express.View leads
get_filter_vocabularyThe values the exact-match filters accept: tags, technologies, legal forms, municipalities, regions, contact areas and the target contact roles your account has configured.View leads
search_knowledgeSemantic search over your company knowledge base: product and pricing details, sales processes, objection handling, positioning, policies. Returns passages with a link to the source entry.Any user
searchChatGPT Deep Research contract: free-text search returning document ids, titles and citable URLs.Any user
fetchChatGPT Deep Research contract: full text of one document by id.Any user

What search_organizations can do

  • Filter by market (one at a time: SE, NO, DK or FI), name, keywords, industry code, municipality, region, city, employee count, revenue, legal form, founding year, web technology and tags.
  • Filter by people: companies that employ someone matching your account's target contact roles, or ad-hoc criteria such as "a decision maker in Sales with an email address" or "a CFO with a direct phone line". "A phone number" also counts the company's switchboard; "a direct phone line" counts only the person's own number.
  • Filter by your relationship: customers only or excluded, in your CRM only or excluded, companies nobody has touched at all, or companies touched within the last N days.
  • Exclude: every filter above has a mirror that disqualifies instead of qualifying, so "manufacturers, but not the ones on this list" is one search.
  • Rank by one source at a time: a plain-language description of what you are looking for, one of your ideal customer profiles, a scoring profile, or similarity to one example company.
  • Sort by score, revenue, employees or name.

A plain-language description also needs at least one ordinary filter, because the ranking has to score everything the filters leave.

Write tools

Write tools require the Write scope (mcp:write). Most also require the Edit leads permission; the exceptions are noted.

ToolWhat it does
create_listCreates an empty list in your account: an organization list unless a contact list is asked for.
add_organizations_to_listAdds organizations to an existing organization list. Additive only. At most 25 per call; the assistant batches larger sets. Optionally records a reason, shown on each added row.
remove_organizations_from_listTakes organizations off a list, at most 25 per call. Marked destructive, so clients such as Claude ask you to confirm before it runs.
add_contacts_to_listAdds contacts to an existing contact list. Additive only. At most 25 per call. Optionally records a reason, shown on each added row.
remove_contacts_from_listTakes contacts off a contact list, at most 25 per call. Marked destructive, so your client asks you to confirm.
save_searchSaves a set of search_organizations filters as a named saved search you can re-run later. It cannot store a plain-language description; use an ideal customer profile for that.
create_ideal_customer_profileTurns a description of your ideal customer into a profile whose id can then rank later searches. Needs no extra role permission, the same as in the web app.
switch_accountPoints the connection at another Funnelfeedr account you are a member of. Takes effect on the assistant's next request. Needs only the Read scope, since it changes nothing in your data. It is marked destructive, so your client may ask you to confirm the switch.
create_accountCreates a new Funnelfeedr account for a company from its website, exactly as Add account does in the account switcher, and points the connection at it. If the company already has an account you are a member of, it switches to that one instead of creating a duplicate; if one exists that you are not a member of, it stops and asks you to get an invite. Needs the permission to manage account settings, which admins have, and room for another account on your subscription.

There are no other write tools.

Reveal tools

These two are the only tools that can spend your account's credits, and they only run on a connection you granted the Reveal scope (mcp:spend). Granting Read or Write does not grant this one: approving lists is not the same as approving a charge. If you connected before revealing existed, reconnect and check that the Reveal scope is listed on the approval screen; until you do, the assistant does not see these tools at all.

ToolWhat it does
quote_revealFree. Prices what revealing a set of contacts would cost: per contact and in total, marking the ones your account already revealed and therefore gets for nothing, alongside your current credit balance. It reveals nothing, charges nothing and never returns a real email address or phone number.
reveal_contactsSpends credits. Unmasks the email addresses and phone numbers of up to 25 contacts and returns them. It only runs against a confirmation from a quote_reveal call made moments earlier for exactly the same contacts.

How a reveal goes

  1. You ask for the contact details. The assistant always calls quote_reveal first and tells you the exact cost and your balance.
  2. You approve. The assistant then calls reveal_contacts, which is marked as a spending action, so Claude and similar clients ask you to confirm before it runs.
  3. The details come back unmasked, along with what it cost and what is left.

What is worth knowing:

  • The price is your account's normal credit price for a reveal. MCP adds nothing on top and there is no separate MCP billing.
  • The quote is exact, not an estimate. It is calculated by the same code that performs the charge.
  • Already-revealed contacts are free. A reveal stays valid for a year, and re-revealing inside that year costs nothing. Those contacts are flagged on the quote.
  • LinkedIn URLs are always free and are already returned in full by the contact tools, so they are never part of a reveal.
  • At most 25 contacts per call, and at most 5 reveals per minute. Larger sets are split into several quotes and several confirmations, so you approve each spend.
  • If the balance is too low, nothing happens. No confirmation is issued and nothing is charged; buy credits under Settings → Billing and ask again.
  • A confirmation works once and expires after five minutes. If the set of contacts or the price has changed in the meantime, the reveal is refused rather than charged at a price you did not see.

Even with the Reveal scope granted, a connected assistant still cannot:

  • push organizations or contacts to your CRM
  • reveal anything other than contact email addresses and phone numbers
  • send email, place calls or schedule anything
  • delete or rename lists, or edit an existing saved search
  • change settings, users or billing
  • buy credits, change your plan or touch payment details

Asking for the right thing

The assistant picks the tools; you only have to be clear about the job. Some requests that use the newer capabilities:

Are Volvo Group, Scania and Sandvik in our Funnelfeedr, and do we already have them in the CRM?

Find companies like Nordkap Logistik AB in Skåne with 20 to 100 employees, skip the ones we have already touched this quarter, and put the ten best on a new list.

Rank Gothenburg manufacturers with 50+ employees against our "Mid-market operations" ideal customer profile, and show me the ones with a decision maker in production we have an email for.

Run my saved search "Retail SE Q3" and tell me which of the top 20 are not in the CRM yet.

What would it cost to get email addresses for the five production managers you just found? If it is under 10 credits, go ahead.

Two habits that make answers better: let the assistant call get_context first, so it uses your real ideal customer profiles and target roles instead of guessing, and name a filter you care about rather than only a description. "SaaS companies" alone is too broad to rank.

Accounts

If you belong to several Funnelfeedr accounts, replies start with the name of the account they came from, and you can ask the assistant to switch: "switch to Example AB". The change applies from the next request onwards, not to answers already given. You can also change the account from Settings → MCP Connections, which takes up to about two minutes to reach the assistant. See Managing MCP connections.

Seats

TierToolsWho has it
Baselineget_context, switch_account, create_account, find_organization, get_organization, get_organizations, get_organization_contacts, search_knowledge, fetch, quote_reveal, reveal_contactsEvery user of an active account, whatever their seat
Prospectingsearch_organizations, search_contacts, get_filter_vocabulary, search, list_lists, get_list, get_saved_searches, run_saved_search, and every write tool except switch_account and create_accountUsers with a Prospect seat

A Close or Meet seat can still look up the companies it works with, read the knowledge base and reveal a contact, but cannot search the company database or work with lists. An administrator assigns seats under Settings → Users. Without a Prospect seat, the prospecting tools are not listed to the assistant at all.

Rate limits

Limits apply per user, per minute:

CategoryLimit
All requests60 per minute
Search tools (search_organizations, find_organization, get_organizations, run_saved_search, search_contacts, search_knowledge, search)20 per minute
Write tools (including switch_account)10 per minute
reveal_contacts5 per minute

quote_reveal is free and is not limited beyond the overall 60 per minute, so the assistant is never discouraged from checking the price first.

When a limit is hit the tool returns an error that tells the assistant how long to wait. Assistants normally handle this on their own by pausing and retrying.

Data handling

  • Results contain the same data you would see in the Funnelfeedr web app, filtered by your permissions and visibility settings.
  • Contact email addresses and phone numbers are masked unless the contact is already revealed in your account, or you approve a reveal with reveal_contacts. A masked email keeps only its domain and a masked phone only its first five digits.
  • Every tool call, allowed or denied, is logged with the user, account and application. Reveals are additionally logged with what they cost and that you confirmed them.
  • Your assistant's provider (Anthropic, OpenAI and so on) receives the tool results as part of your conversation, under that provider's own terms.
